KEY BOARD FOR BEGINNERS (CASIO)
June 6-28, 2016
“The course was very good and excellent. I learnt many things such as black notes, ragas, sargam, chords, theory, etc. during the course. Now I know notations well. The music teacher taught me very well,” stated Miss Neema, a participant of the Key Board for Beginners Course conducted from June 6 to 28, 2016. The Resource Person was Rev.Fr. Salate, SVD, a specialist in Western and Hindustani music. He has 12 years of experience of teaching the keyboard for beginners. After a week of study, the participants learnt to play keyboard during the Eucharistic celebration, because of their earnest desire, incessant practice, methodical learning and disciplined life. They learnt to compose lyrics and music during the course and sang on the final day programme held in the eve of June 27, 2016. They were grateful to the director and staff of Nav Sadhana for delicious food, friendly atmosphere, relentless support and co-operation rendered to them. They admired at the availability, systematic teaching and friendly nature of the Resource Person. All returned to their residence with a lot of happy memories. The keyboard group manifested in their behavior and relationship a bond of love and support, co-operation and collaboration. One of the beautiful things noticeable was that all had played a piece of music in the keyboard with confidence and joy.
