PARADIGM SHIFT IN RELIGIOUS LIFE

“As we entered the campus of Nav Sadhana, we felt and experienced the warm welcome and systemic orderly arrangements of all the facilities, which made us feel at home. The cool breeze, lovely flowers and green trees around amazed us, which soothed our eyes and made us feel that it is the dwelling place of God and abode of peace”, said Sr.Magdeline Fernandes and Sr.Prescilla Fernandes. They along other religious sisters of various congregations came for the course on PARADIGM SHIFT IN RELIGIOUS LIFE, which commenced on July 31 and ended on Aug. 6, 2016. The Resource Person was Rev. Dr. Amirtha Raj, O.P., a well known psychologist, counselor, mentor, retreat preacher, formator, administrator and pastor. At the end of the course there was evaluation of it. The participants articulated that the course was indeed inspiring, insightful, enriching, relevant, practical and challenging; they understood the real meaning of the religious life in the light of Trinitarian life as well as the importance of visitation of families and invitational and apostolic blessings. The Resource Person was knowledgeable, dynamic, simple, systematic, patient, convinced of his thoughts and exemplary as religious. The course helped them to renew, reenergize and revitalize their commitment and vocation. They realized the importance of learning the biblical quotations and knowledge of the Bible. They understood the religious life in the modern times, how to live the vows, how to grow as a religious, how to be happy, joyful and comfortable in communities, and above all the courage, motivation and grace to take up the mission given to them with joy and happiness as well as a few challenges of present day religious. It helped them to deepen the call and mission of the consecrated religious and awakening of the religious to the beauty and challenges of the consecrated life. They were extremely happy with sumptuous food, comfortable stay, serene atmosphere, clean and green campus along with cordiality and hospitality of the Director and staff of Nav Sadhana.
