Vision and Mission to create a new society or/and just society lead to passion in one’s life as in the case of Our Lord Jesus Christ, said Rev.Dr. Jerry Rosario, a priest of Society of Jesus of Madurai Province, Tamil Nadu, addressing the members of General Body of Agra Regional Bishops’ Council (ARBC), Agra Regional Priests’ Council (ARPC) and Agra Regional Conference of Religious of India (ARCRI), who gathered at Nav Sadhana Regional Pastoral Centre, Varanasi from Nov. 21 to 23, 2012. The theme of deliberation was THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH IN FORMATION OF A JUST SOCIETY. They were all together 81 in number. Dr. Jerry emphatically stated that transformation of society is our mission today, which entails societal justice, that includes social justice eliminating classism, economic justice eliminating consumerism, political justice eliminating corruption, cultural justice eliminating castism, religious justice eliminating commercialization, and ideological justice eliminating compromise. The joint meet was organized by Most Rev.Albert D’Souza, Archbishop of Agra and Most Rev.Raphy Manjaly, Bishop of Varanasi.

The members of various bodies highly appreciated the resource person and contents of his talk with his inimitable style stating that Dr.Rosario was a competent and professional in delivering the speech. His talks were informative, formative and transformative. He has been dynamic, lively, active, prophetic, pastoral, pragmatic, global, local, theological, spiritual, ecclesial, effective and inspiring man of walk the talk. He has been endowed with vast knowledge, systematic, logical presentation and interdisciplinary man. He ventured to articulate that every Christian is called to be like salt, curative, healing, preservative and medicinal in the society.

The participants had accolade for Nav Sadhana Director and Staff for the meticulous planning, systematic functioning, joyful serving, and cordial fellowship and to make them feel homely. Thanks be to God.
