Nav Sadhana conducted a Refresher Course for Formators working in North India from Feb. 21 to 24, 2018. The Resource Person was Rev. Fr. Joe Mannath, an experienced person in formation and well versed in effective communication. He was the seminary formator/professor for twenty one years. He was also professor at Madras University, visiting professor in the U.S, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and U.K. He is also a well known author. His famous book is “A RADICAL LOVE – A PATH OF LIGHT” – THE BEAUTY AND BURDEN OF RELIGIOUS LIFE. He, with his eminent and dynamic personality, highlighted in his sessions the problems connected with formation, its faith perspective, its goal, recruitment and areas of formation. He threw light on Human, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Cultural Formation in Mission, Leadership Training, Community and Formators. The participants felt that the whole course enabled them to be effective formators and empowered persons.
He stressed the need of paradigm shift in formation and religious life. He also dealt with psycho-spiritual perspective in formation. He shared his vast experiential knowledge and faith with conviction.
The participants came from all over North India. All departed with the renewed energy and enthusiasm to work in their respective formation houses. All the participants were extremely happy with the fellowship and friendship, amity and comity of the staff and participants, calm and congenial atmosphere of the campus. They were delighted to have delicious dishes prepared with love by the domestic staff.
