The Girl Icon Program was organised by the Milaan Foundation in the NavSadhana Campus for young rural school going girls from January 21-26, 2019. Around 85 students together with 10 staff members took active part in this program. The Girl Icon is a 2 year leadership development program which invests in collectivising girls at the grassroots, delivering comprehensive life skills based education and instigating collective social actions on issues that affect adolescent girls. Many girls felt that the Girl Icon Program gave them the courage to dream, the confidence to express their thoughts and the skills to build their own narrative. The girls took active part in the Republic Day celebration organised by the artists of NavSadhana Kala Kendra.
