“Go into all the world and communicate the gospel.” God has commissioned us to communicate His message as we go into the world. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us specially the priests to learn the principles of effective communication so that we can fulfill that commission. The good preachers always have this concern of how to make the sermon biblical, relevant, authentic, theological, and effectively communicated in delivery and form. To know the basics of Homiletics techniques a course was conducted for the Junior and Senior priests of the Diocese of Varanasi. More than 67 priests took active part in this course which was held from October 06-09, 2019 at NavSadhana Regional Pastoral Centre, Varanasi,It was conducted by Fr, Henry, OP.
The Priests were quite happy about the class as it was more interactive, participative, methodical and systematic. He made the class lively with humour and wit, with group activity, discussion and presentation. The priests participants returned to their respective places with renewed vigour and vitality to proclaim the Word of God.
