Nov. 6 to 12, 2011
The Novices of seven congregations working in North India arrived with a lot of enthusiasm at Nav Sadhana, Varanasi on Nov. 6, 2011 to attend the above mentioned course. They were all together 60 in number. The Resource person was Rev.Fr. Joseph Camilus D’Costa, Priest of Varanasi Diocese. He used the audio-visual, interactive method for imparting knowledge of the Old Testament. He paid special attention to Pentateuch and the Salvation History in his teaching. His presentation was well appreciated by the novices, as it was systematic, simple, graspable, coming down to their level of understanding with humour. The course has been considered to be useful and interesting for the novices. It has enhanced their knowledge and enriched their personality. The campus was full of life and activities till Nov. 12, 2011 as the Novices were busy listening, studying, preparing skit on biblical themes with vigour and vitality, zeal and enthusiasm, patience and perseverance, interaction and dynamism. On the last day they put up the prepared skits, which were creative with ingenuities. It was an occasion to manifest their talents, develop their abilities and to sharpen their mind with a spirit of co-operation and collaboration. The audience enjoyed the programme. They were quite happy and grateful to the staff of Nav Sadhana for the nourishing food, comfortable stay and amicable atmosphere. They came as strangers, lived as friends and returned to their respective novitiate with a lot of happy memories.
