The theme of the meeting “Regional Pastoral Plan with the Priority of Proclamation and Evangelization”was introduced by Most Rev.Albert D’Souza, Chirman of the Conference. The regional pastoral plan draft was drawn on the basis of suggestions made by the various commission secretaries and the present members. The draft stresses the passion for God and passion for people. Then the salient features of EvangeliiGaudium was highlighted by Rev.Fr.Francis D’Souza.
Swami SachidanandaBharathi addressed the august audience on the second day on Tyagarchana Shanti Mission in view of promoting a hunger-free, Caste-free and Corruption-free India, as well as to be a faithful citizen of Indiaand to be an authentic disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. He emphasized that India’s history is a wounded history. What India desperately needs is the Christ-Spirit of forgiveness, reconciliation and peace. A spiritual regeneration inspired and enlightened by the Christ-Spirit is a historic imperative for India to grow as a dynamic living force.
There was also a colourful cultural evening. The programme was organized by the Director and Principal of NavSadhana and with his core team, as well as with the help of Sir Robin, Sir Vengadesh, along with the students of the college. The students had scintillating performance of classical dance, dance drama, mime, folk dance and a song sung by Miss Shabnam and team. All had appreciated excellent performance and recital as well as timely conclusion. During the programme, a DVD titled “Guldastha” , a collection of ONE ACT PLAYS and its script in the form of book was released by Most Rev.RaphyManjaly and Most Rev.Albert D’Souza; it is the strenuous effort of Fr.Justy and his team in Nav Sanchar. Most Rev.Ignatius D’Souza, Bishop of Bareilly gave a final speech of admiring and appreciating the hard work, commitment and discipline of the staff and students of NSKK. He announced his intention to offer to the college students a lac every year in view of Fr.ThomasD’Sa Memorial Award; It was indeed a genial gesture from the part of the Bishop of Bareilly to instill in the students to fly higher and higher.
