“Joy is not a concept, but an experience, which is like the two sides of the same coin: Joy of encountering God/Lord Jesus Christ and Joy of sharing and evangelization; it will lead to missionary disciple”, said Rev.Fr.PanneerSelvam, Executive Secretary, CCBI Commission for Proclamation, founder and pioneer of Indian School of New Evangelization, Salem. He stated further that missionary transformation is the need of the hour and proclamation is the bounden duty of the Church, which entails pastoral mission, priestly mission and prophetic mission. Speaking on Small Christian Communities he articulated that it is one of the effective means of new evangelization for social, pastoral and ecclesial transformation; one can experience in it what is recited in creed: one, holy, apostolic and catholic church. His presentation with conviction and courage was well received and appreciated by the priests who were 118 in number. The meeting came to an end with a renewed zeal and zest for the evangelization, to carry out the task of mission, as it is the duty of every baptized Christian.
