Every person is called to respond with his ability in the given context recognizing the need of the hour and realizing the progress of the technology. Acting responsibly means that you are the master of your actions. At times it becomes difficult to act in response to your inner and true self. It was a moment of immense pride when the Regional Pastoral, Varanasi , inspired by St.Francis of Assisi, the saint of environment and by His Holiness Pope Francis’ statement “Protect our common home”, “Save Environment” and “Be Eco-friendly” decided to take a giant leap towards installing the solar plant. The vision of saving environment became a reality on 1st April 2015 in Assisi Block and on 3rd June,, 2015 in Sanjeevani Hostel Block in Nav Sadhana. The administration of Nav Sadhana took a decision to start this project of Solar Power Plant in January 2015. It was a dream of the chairman and director of Nav Sadhana that has come now true. A Solar Power Plant of 30 K.W. grid was installed in the campus and it has come across as the new alternative source of energy.
Action speaks louder than words. Words on natural resources echoed persistent in Fr.Director’s heart and was decided to install the Solar Power Panel. On 19th July, 2015 the Solar Power Plant was officially inaugurated and blessed by the Most Rev.Raphy Manjaly, Chairman of Nav Sadhana in the presence of Frs.V.Sebastian, Sylvester Minj, Justy and Srs. Joan, Manjula, Sangeetha, Rashmi and all the hostel girls. He congratulated the director for the efforts towards an eco-friendly environment. May this effort inspire many to install the Solar Plant to lead a healthy life in the years to come. We are grateful to Mr. Anupam Singh for his relentless and meticulous execution of installing the Solar Plant and was awarded with a souvenir as an act of appreciation. He is a man of reliability and responsibility, dedication and discipline. We wish him a bright future to create an eco-friendly society and world.
