The Church History Course for Novices was conducted from Feb. 21 to 27, 2016. The Novices came from 8 congregations, out of which seven from women religious and one from men religious congregation from Lucknow, Patna, Varanasi cities. The Resource Person was Rev.Fr.Aquin Noronhan, O.P. from Mangalore. He has done his specialization in Church History in Rome and teaches in various seminaries. He summarized the Church History and taught the Novices in a condensed form with audio-visual aids. The novices expressed that the course was difficult initially, but the attractive way of teaching and presentation drew them to pay attention and to benefit from the class. However they stated that it was enlightening, enriching, enlivening, interesting, and creative. It was beneficial and helpful for our life. His presentation was participatory, systematic, simple and graspable. They were happy about the course. The contents were the formation and activities of the Early Church, Apostolic Fathers, Fathers of the Church, Persecution, Martyrdom, Heresies, Popes, Schisms, etc. They realized the importance of faith and conviction, sacrifice and love, unity and solidarity in living as the disciples or followers of Christ. They were grateful to Nav Sadhana for the cordiality and hospitality, delicious food and spacious accommodation. They left Nav Sadhana with happy memories.
